Hi, I'm Phani · Singapore · dad of two · usually on foot

Ramakrishna Phani Jonnavittula

I sell cloud and AI by day and build software by night, and I've been teaching myself the next thing since 1999.

Founders: apply Work with me
Work with me

Two doors, one standard.

Founders get me directly. Enterprises get me with a full delivery team. Either way, AI goes where it earns its place, and simple automation goes everywhere else.

For foundersPRO BONO · FOUNDING COHORT · 3 IN Q4 2026

Launching a product? Get an AI-first technology roadmap you can build against.

  • Product and architecture roadmap, from idea to first release
  • Where AI genuinely helps, and where plain automation and good UX do the job
  • MVP cut into vertical slices your team, or your coding agents, can ship
  • A cloud setup that stays cheap until you grow

Pro bono while I build a library of case studies. If it goes well, I'll ask to publish my part of the work, the roadmap and the architecture, but only with your signed OK. I'm cloud-agnostic, and I won't introduce 1CloudHub or any other vendor unless you ask me to.

For enterprisesDELIVERED WITH 1CLOUDHUB

A complex transformation deserves a team, not one person's evenings.

  • Migration and modernisation on SAP, AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Agentic AI with adoption designed in from day one
  • Discovery, solution architecture and a roadmap your board can fund

Enterprise work is contracted and delivered by 1CloudHub, an AWS Advanced Partner across Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. I co-founded it, and I stay on your work as executive sponsor.

GeDe

CASE 01 · LIVE

A spreadsheet where text, not numbers, is the data. Tables, rich text, formulas and context graphs on one shared, real-time canvas, in English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

OUTCOME · Discovery with a new client cut from weeks to hours

HOW IT WAS DONE
ROADMAP ·
193 numbered requirements and 56 architecture decisions, each requirement traced to a test
BUILD ·
Rebuilt as v2 in September 2026 with coding agents, 180+ pull requests
STACK ·
React 19, real-time sync on Fastify, Postgres and S3, passwordless Cognito, eight CDK stacks on ARM
DELIVERY ·
Every merge to main ships to production, with automatic rollback

Atrium

CASE 02 · WITH 1CLOUDHUB

A Southeast Asian retail group ran 10+ internal apps. A store manager typed three passwords before 9 a.m., and a simple phone-request app took nine months to ship. Atrium is one front door and one platform underneath all of them.

OUTCOME · Proposal and working prototype with the client's IT leadership

HOW IT WAS DONE
ROADMAP ·
A 49-slide discovery pack: 3 outcomes, 4 pillars, 18 building blocks, a seven-layer target architecture and a strangler plan that retires the old low-code estate one app at a time
BUILD ·
A working front door: one Microsoft sign-in, a keyboard-first queue, and a coverage agent that spots a short-staffed Saturday overnight. English and Filipino.
CHANGE ·
Forward deployed engineers jump-start, co-build, then hand over, until the client's team leads 85% of the work

LaneWise

CASE 03 · WITH 1CLOUDHUB

Every Christmas the same retail group has to guess how many seasonal cashiers to hire, for which stores and by when. Guess low and the lanes back up on the busiest Saturday of the year. LaneWise turns that guess into a plan.

OUTCOME · Live as a prototype for the client's planners

HOW IT WAS DONE
BUILD ·
From hourly POS data to scenarios, department day plans, weekly rosters, a hiring timeline and a one-page leadership summary
NETWORK MAP ·
A store that's short sees which stores nearby have spare cashiers, and who lives within 15, 30 or 45 minutes
DESIGN ·
Passkey sign-in with no passwords, eight roles from planner to store manager, versioned labour rules, English and Filipino

CASE 04 · PRODUCT MODERNISATION

A procurement SaaS, rebuilt for many tenants

A Southeast Asian procurement software company needed to move its seventh-generation monolith to multi-tenant SaaS without losing customers on the way.

OUTCOME · 88% of the new version built at hand-off

HOW IT WAS DONE
ROADMAP ·
The full transformation pack: requirements, functional specs, architecture, design system, a customer migration playbook and an executive dashboard
BUILD ·
A new React and TypeScript front end: requisitions, suppliers and a supplier portal, contracts, RFx, analytics and credit-based metering
DESIGN ·
Zero hardcoding: each tenant's rules, branding and features set by configuration, not code
CASE 05 · PILOT

Forecasting as a service, for a logistics provider

A global contract logistics provider could see one to three days ahead in a warehouse it ran for a large manufacturer. So staffing was reactive, trucks left half empty, and the customer treated it as a mover of boxes, not a planning partner.

OUTCOME · A pilot that ran on AWS for under US$25, and an honest answer before the real spend

HOW IT WAS DONE
ROADMAP ·
A business requirements doc and 12-week pilot plan: SKU-level forecasts one to four weeks out, explained to site managers and the customer's planners
BUILD ·
An AWS data lake and Amazon Forecast with low, likely and high forecast ranges, anomaly detection, KPIs for on-time delivery, days of stock and truck use, and a six-part dashboard where every insight traces back to its data
FINDING ·
429,000 records across 17 months still came to about 3.5 data points per item, far too sparse to forecast. Fix how the data is captured before you buy the model.

The journey

One line, three threads.

Work in ink, learning in gold, building in code. Scroll on, and the mark grows with the story.

WORKLEARNINGBUILDINGRECOGNITION
  1. 1999 – 2005 · THE SPARK

It started with a science fair.

Before any job, a national science congress, then an engineering degree. The gold line starts here, seven years before the first paycheck.

  2. 2006 – 2010 · I · ONE DEEP SKILL

    First, one deep skill.

Four years in banking and capital markets at Infosys, on programmes for Wachovia, Standard Chartered, American Express and Wells Fargo. The technology takeover between Amex and Standard Chartered earned two first-place awards in 2008: one for delighting the customer, one for executing the project. Both legs, early. Then Photon, serving small and mid-sized businesses in the US, learning how enterprise systems are designed and positioned commercially.

    Then range across the top.

Presales for US small and mid-sized businesses at Sedin. Delivery for Indian manufacturers and digital headends for cable operators at Digital Chakra. Then practice leadership in cloud. The breadth arrived, and so did the habit: a course or certificate most years, and a first public repository called lerne, German for learn.

  4. 2018 – 2024 · π · TWO DEEP LEGS

Two deep legs: selling and building.

Joining 1CloudHub in January 2018, as part of its founding team, put both legs under one roof: transforming customer journeys on SAP, AWS, Azure and GCP, across shipping, automotive, retail, manufacturing, real estate and telco. The certifications got harder. The public repos went quiet, because the thing being built was a company.

  5. 2025 → NOW · φ · STILL EVOLVING

    Now the shape keeps growing.

Co-founder and CRO by day. By night, coding agents turned an architect back into a builder: 39 repositories with commits since 2025. The learning now happens by shipping.

Same habit, different terrain.

The dashed line doesn't stop at the office door. It just moves outdoors, onto a court, and home to my two daughters, who ask the best questions.

Dad of two daughters

The only people who ask "why?" more often than a CIO. If an idea survives the dinner table, it's ready for the boardroom.

On foot, mostly

Hiking trails, and exploring new cities by walking them end to end. You learn a place the way you learn a system: one street at a time.

Tennis and training

Tennis for the competition, the gym for the discipline. Same rule as the learning line: show up most days, and let the compounding do the rest.
